Over the past few years, membership of the Downtown Flint Optimist Club has been on the increase. Michigan District Zone 9 Lieutenant Governor Michael Murphy tells us, “We are actually experiencing increases in our membership, which is something we really like to see. Each club member we gain, helps us reach approximately 32 additional local children that really need our help.” Michael encourages us all to come join the optimism that is spreading across Flint and Genesee County.

Optimist International is a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local Clubs whose members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves. The Downtown Flint Optimist Club meets at noon each Tuesday at the Flint Golf Club. Optimists bring out the best in kids.
