Dear Optimist Clubs,

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Whaley’s Children Center would be very grateful for your help in spreading awareness to other local businesses through email.

Specifically, April 24th is “Wear Blue Day” where we hope to get as many people to join us in wearing blue to spread awareness for child abuse prevention. Visit PaintOurTownBLUE.org to learn more.

Also, on Friday, April 24, at 8 p.m., Whaley Children’s Center will host a Candlelight Vigil in remembrance of the children who have lost their lives to abuse and neglect. It will start at the flat lot in Downtown Flint located at 125 E. Kearsley St. and conclude at the Genesee County District Court with stops at the Flint Farmer’s Market and the Ennis Center along the way.

We would appreciate any help we can get in getting this information into everyone’s hands. Please use the sharing buttons at the bottom of this article to share on Facebook, Pintrest, email, etc.

I have also attached a “Wear Blue Day” poster with information. Click here to see it.

Thank you,

Ashleigh Sanders
