Paul Rozycki spoke to us this morning after an introduction by colorfully attired Speaker Chair Dave Crabill. Paul has been a frequent and engaging speaker to our Club as Political Science Professor at Mott Community College, and he continues his interest and he continues his interest and excitement into his post-retirement status. Among his comments regarding this year’s “weird” presidential campaign were depiction of Trump as “catnip for the media”, with interest in the Republican possibly reflecting “more sport than support”; Clinton’s “running against history” (in Democratic/Republican pendulum swings); possible 3rd-party prospects; and the ongoing Flint Water Fiasco developments and implications. (None of this material is easy to swallow!)

President Jeff Dennings rang the bell to start the meeting at 7:30, which proved to be too early for John Losinski to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance or bid on the Crown (Jim Carney got it for $1.00!). Thus, John was caught in the fine process this morning, and Jim got his money’s worth in fund-raising. President Jeff was fined for loss of control of the meeting, but this did not pass because he was too busy talking on his cell phone to his brother  to rule on the matter! King Jim drew Bob Hentgen’s ticket for the 50/50 drawing and Bill Hentgen gave away tickets for the Blue Man Group performance at Whiting (Jan. 30) to Dan Crannie. (The remaining 16 other Club members have to settle for other colors.)
