A very good turn out for the weekly meeting, not to many folks got blown away with the strong winds, although David thought we had changed to a lunch club.
There was a rousing fine session that kept most everyone’s attention. Bonnie and Peter both brought guests.
We had the winners of the Essay Contest, Jason, Casey and Katie with us this morning along with Jason’s mom and their teacher Jane Wensko. The topic this year was Chasing Optimism in the face of challenges. The judges, Donna Williams, Kathy Ridley and Greg Hilliker had 70 essays to consider. The winner was Jason who read his essay for us. It was very thought provoking even if Judge Joe was the only one to understand it.
