A small gathering of 10 members this morning saw President Phil Holmblade open the meeting with the Pledge (led by Bill Hentgen) and Prayer (led by Ken Cullen), followed by several announcements:

Bill Hentgen announced the delayed opening in December of the Proton Therapy Center for cancer treatment near McLaren Hospital; Phil and John Losinski noted that our former member Dave Crabill has agreed to manage the televised broadcast of our $5K Raffle drawing; Steve Schlott read his email letter (attached below) to the Crim Fitness Foundation and CANUSA personnel denoting and suggesting the changes in our Club’s role and relationship in supporting CANUSA games.

After Dan Crannie‘s arm was twisted enough to recruit him to “Substitute TailTwister”, Ron Ballard paid a fine for arriving after the Pledge, Bill Hentgen proposed but could not pass a fine against all those who missed Bill’s “fashion show” at Buckham Alley, and Jim Reigle passed a fine against anyone not visiting Jim’s grand-daughter last week in Poland.

Phil collected the take from the “50/50” pot drawing again this morning, after which discussion of CANUSA and $5K Raffle (with especially poignant material offered by John Losinski and “Judge Joe” Farah) used the balance of our meeting time.

Until next time, “Promise Yourself…”
